New Release
Inspired by the greatest hardware compressors: an original modern classic.
From rich weight to explosive energy, FIERY gives any sound punch, movement and tons of attitude.

The Result Of
An Obsession
Compression should do far more than simply control a signal. It should give it movement, weight, and energy. And this is precisely what FIERY is designed for.
FIERY is the result of my obsession with making plugin compression exciting, just like real hardware. But this is not your usual emulation of a classic unit.
After 15 years of producing and mixing with outboard compression, you develop a pretty clear sense of what matters and what does not. You learn the difference between excess for its own sake, and a focused set of controls that actually delivers. You learn that great dynamics processing is not just about control. It is about the emotion created by movement and weight, the thing that makes a source feel alive.
FIERY was obsessively engineered and refined over a year of development and 15 years of listening, and we didn’t stop until it felt as good as real hardware. It’s not a copy of the usual names, it’s an original compressor and saturator designed to work across almost any source.
As with the rest of the fedDSP range, the main editor looks deceptively simple, but there’s serious depth behind it: a highly characterful compressor with fixed threshold and variable attack and release, a smooth upward compressor for shaping everything below the threshold, a powerful DEPTH control for low-end excitement, bespoke variable saturation, transformer emulations, DC threshold, parallel mix, and the option to work in stereo or dual mono.
FIERY gives you two distinct characters: CLASSIC, with a faster, more modern analogue-style response, and VINTAGE, with a warmer, thicker colour, rounder transients and a more worn-in response. Each mode revoices the whole unit, giving you two distinct compressors with the same set of controls.
Simply put, FIERY is the compressor you will keep reaching for.
