Use Cases

Vocals.

Create throws, delays and vocal tails that feel connected to the performance. Use DUCK to keep the vocal in front, then send the repeats into reverb when you want the echo to bloom after the phrase.

Synths and keys.

ECO’s best friends. From tightly time-locked patterns to self-oscillating repeats, to creative shaping such as DRIVE for character, modulation for drift and reverb send when the delay needs to bloom into a lush ambience.

Guitars.

Go from tight slapback to wide ambient trails. TAPE, BBD and DIFFUSED modes are amazing on guitars, and you can combine any of them with PING PONG for extra stereo movement. Use SPREAD and WIDTH for size, then shape the repeats with filtering, DRIVE or reverb to craft the perfect space around the part.

Drums and percussion.

Use ECO for snare throws, percussive delays, filtered hits and rhythmic chaos. DUCK and filtering help keep things controlled, while DRIVE, FEEDBACK and modulation can push drum delays into creative territory.

Loops.

Make a repeated phrase feel like it is moving. Sync the delay to the track’s BPM, filter the wet signal, add a little modulation or reverb, and let the loop evolve without rewriting the part. Or hit RANDO and use whatever weird direction comes back as your new starting point.

Pads and soundscapes.

Use long delay times, up to eight seconds, DIFFUSED character, modulation and reverb send to stretch simple sounds into wider, deeper spaces. ECO can sit quietly behind the source or turn its tail into the main sound.

Creative throws.

Automate MIX, FEEDBACK, delay mode, PING PONG direction, DRIVE or reverb send to create moments at the end of a line. A simple throw can become a transition, a hook or a small piece of ear candy that makes the section feel designed.

Quick tip: stereo thickening.

For chorus-like stereo thickening, switch to manual TIME, choose a short delay, set FEEDBACK to 0%, select CHORUS and add DEPTH. Blend it with the dry signal using MIX, then adjust SPREAD and WIDTH to taste.

A Modern Delay Playground

ECO gives you an incredibly fast way to shape the perfect delay for your tracks. It features two main views: a small and simple main view with immediate controls for timing, feedback, mix, delay mode, stereo width, ping pong routing and reverb send, and an advanced view where ECO stops being just a delay and becomes a creative tool whose final result is far better than the sum of its parts.

DRIVE decides how much attitude the echo has, while TONE and its filters decide where it sits in the mix. WIDTH and SPREAD decide how wide it should feel, whilst the modulation controls, DEPTH, DETUNE and RATE, shape the movement and character the repeats should show. Switch between CHORUS and VIBRATO to move from layered thickness to drifting pitch, then add TUBE saturation to the combined delay and reverb for another layer of colour. DUCK sets how politely it behaves around the source.

Reverb send, DECAY and DAMP can keep the repeats close, make them bloom behind the track or dissolve them into wide and emotional atmospheres. Send the repeats themselves into one of five reverb styles, SMOOTH, DENSE, LARGE, STUDIO and ECO, giving those atmospheres their own character.

ECO’s 12 modes offer a wide palette of textures to wrap around your sounds. Need something clean and in time? Start with CLEAN or DIGITAL. Want darker repeats that feel worn in? TAPE, OLD TAPE, ANALOG, BBD and LO-FI can get you there. SLAP keeps things short and immediate. For stereo movement, switch any mode to PING PONG and choose whether the first repeat starts on the left or the right. When the echo needs to become a characterful texture instead of a repeat, DIFFUSED, PHASEY and RICH MOD push ECO into wider, stranger and more animated territory, whilst QUARTZ folds the repeats into harmonically rich, resonant textures, with DRIVE pushing its wavefolding character further.

Meet RANDO, the fastest way to get out of your own habits. One click takes ECO in a completely new direction, giving you sounds and combinations you might never have thought of yourself. Keep LOCK on to preserve your mix and output level while browsing presets, and your mix and ducking while randomising. Output level is never randomised. Use A/B to compare two directions before deciding which one belongs in the track. Want to move even faster? Press N with keyboard shortcuts enabled and RANDO fires even with the advanced view closed.

In manual TIME mode, tap the ECO logo to set the delay by feel. Work in milliseconds or sync to your project, with dotted and triplet divisions, note values up to two bars and delay times reaching up to eight seconds. And if you feel like pushing things further, FEEDBACK can go all the way to 150% for proper self-oscillating madness.

We also love that you can change modes while the echoes are already playing, letting the existing repeats take on a completely new character instead of starting again from scratch.

ECO keeps its essential controls close at hand, so you can move quickly from a simple echo to a much more elaborate sound without losing the flow. Throw it on a synth. Fire it on a snare. Create a special texture for your vocals. Make a guitar trail go wide. Or turn a simple loop into an evolving texture: with ECO you can do it all.

ECO will be the delay you reach for again and again.

FAQ

What is ECO?
ECO is a lightweight creative delay plug-in with integrated reverb, modulation, colour and advanced wet-signal shaping. It gives you a fast main window for everyday delay moves, plus an expandable panel for deeper control when the repeat needs more personality. Use it for clean echoes, vocal throws, tape-style colour, ducked delays, ping-pong movement, lo-fi repeats, ambient trails, rhythmic effects and atmospheric sound design.
What formats does it come in and what DAW does it work with?
We provide VST3, Audio Unit, and AAX formats for MacOS, VST3 and AAX for Windows, meaning you can utilise this plugin on any DAW that supports these formats, for example: Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Cubase, Studio One, FL Studio, Reaper.
Does it work on Apple Silicon (M1 to M5) Macs? What about old Intel Macs?
ECO is fully native for Apple Silicon chips (M1, M2, M3 etc) as well as Intel Macs. No Rosetta required, but it’s also compatible with Rosetta.
How many computers can I install it on?
Each license includes up to three simultaneous activations per user. This could be your main studio machine, a laptop, and a third rig. We understand that modern production often means working across multiple machines, so we’re doing our bit to have your tools available wherever you need them.
