Use Cases

A mastering grade swiss army knife.

CLIPPERITO gives you 10 clipping flavours, pre or post-clipping Mid/Side level control, output filtering, and up to 16x oversampling, so you can shape peak control around the song instead of forcing one clipping sound onto everything.

Make drums hit harder.

Put CLIPPERITO on kick, snare, rooms, drum bus, or parallel chains and use the ceiling to control peaks while Drive adds size, density, and aggression.

Let the snare sit in the mix.

No one ever liked a snare that feels like a blip in your mix, CLIPPERITO helps you defeat that exact behaviour by fattening your snare's transients so it can sit in the mix, instead of drowning in it.

Make bass easier to hear.

Use Tube, Tape, Transformer, or Triode modes to add harmonic weight and help bass stand out in the mix without relying only on tons of EQ or compression.

Vocals with edge.

CLIPPERITO can bring a vocal forward by shaving peaks, adding saturation, and giving the midrange-to-top end more attitude using FET, Iron or Exciter modes.

Make it dirty.

Hard, Silicon, FET, Exciter, and Crush can turn polite sounds into aggressive, finished, mix-forward tones. CLIPPERITO can be clean, but it performs exceptionally well when you push it.

Clipping With Colour, Control And Damage / Clean To Crush.

Clipping should do way more than make things louder. It should control peaks, inflate the tone by adding density, and bring sounds forward, allowing you to be as moderate or as reckless as you want to.

CLIPPERITO was built around that idea: a simple but powerful layout that lets you do all of the above with a minimal set of controls. No reason to overcomplicate things.

Behind that simplicity, there is a lot of flexibility. Hard, Soft, Tube, Tape, Diode, FET, Iron, Console, Exciter and Crush are the 10 modes that give CLIPPERITO its character. Each one changes both the clipping behaviour and the Drive response, effectively giving you 10 different clipping and saturation behaviours in one plug-in.

CLIPPERITO doesn't stop there, it features useful tools such as: three oversampling settings with ZERO (1x), HQ (4x) and ULTRA (16x), MID and SIDE level control that can be placed either before or after the clipping stage, output high-pass and low-pass filters, plus our signature zero-latency limiter at the end of the chain.

So yes, it is powerful. More importantly, it is flexible enough to handle drums, bass, vocals, synths, buses, masters or anything that needs clipping with actual character.

Zero latency.
Big sound, small footprint.
